Texas Burn Ban Checker is a free, public-service tool that helps Texans quickly see whether their county is under a burn ban.

Burn bans affect when you can safely burn outdoors—for example, when clearing brush or having a campfire. This site exists so you can check your county’s status in one place, without hunting through multiple county websites.

Where the data comes from

Burn ban information is provided by the Texas A&M Forest Service, which maintains an official map and dataset of county burn bans across the state. We use that same public data so you get clear, up-to-date status at a glance.

Simple and trustworthy

We don’t collect your personal information to use the checker. Our goal is to make it easy to stay informed and stay safe. For official legal details, burn ban end dates, or local exceptions, always confirm with your county.
